  • You can work between 12 – 40 hours during sale week.
  • Employees earn $15 / hr.
  • Employees and their guest can shop at the earliest pre-sale.

Every employee will play an important part in making the Munchkin Markets sales an excellent experience for both shoppers and sellers. Employees will have a variety of duties which may include (but is not limited to): unloading tables and equipment, setting up the sales floor, quality control, scanning items at checkout and processing payments, assisting customers on the sales floor and in the hold area, maintaining a clean and organized sales floor, sorting unsold items for consignors to pick up, organizing donated items, breakdown and loading equipment on storage trailers.

Job Description – SET UP:

  • Unload items from trailers and deliver to the correct location on the sales floor
  • Set up tables, assemble clothing racks and shelves
  • Place signage throught the sales floor
  • Place merchandise in the correct location on the sales floor

Job Description – DROP OFF:

  • Inspect items for quality
  • Place items in the correct location on the sales floor
  • unload items from sellers vehicles during drive thru drop off
  • Assist DIY sellers with placing their items on the sales floor
  • Sort and organize “no thank you” items

Job Description – DURING THE SALE (floor, hold area, cashier, greeter, line attendant)

  • Greet customers at the entrance and accept admission tickets or passes
  • maintain organization of sales floor
  • return items to the sales floor as needed
  • Answer customers questions and provide recommendations as needed
  • Monitor sales floor for loss prevention
  • complete hold area claim tickets and assist customers with moving larger items to the hold area.
  • monitor hold bins and offer to start hold bins to customers
  • Scan items at checkout and process payments
  • Check claim tickets for item pick up from the hold area and assist with loading larger items into customers vehicles

Job Description – TEAR DOWN:

  • Break down tables, clothing racks and shelves and load on to trailers.
  • Take down and gather signage
  • Assist DIY consignors with finding their unsold items
  • Sort consignors unsold items
  • Load unsold items into consignors vehicles for drive thru pick up
  • Organize donated items for Dollar Dash and/or charity

Physical Requirements:

Employees must be able to walk/ or stand for the majority of the work shift. Positions may involve using arms above shoulder level, stooping, crouching, sitting, reaching and kneeling. Set up and tear down shifts will require the ability to do some lifting and carrying of up to 40 pounds.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Friendly and positive personality
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to follow directions and work well as a team
  • Previous retail experience is helpful, but not required
  • Previous volunteer or selling experience with Munchkin Markets or other consignment sale or store is helpful but not required

Employee Pay Rate and Benefits

  • $15/ hour
